New Young Driver Car and Insurance Scheme - Marmalade

The Business and Economics Minister, Ian Pearson has endorsed a young driver car purchase and insurance scheme run by Young Marmalade.

Young Marmalade run a safe car plus insurance scheme which it believes will reduce the risk of younger motorists being in serious car crashes.

Their scheme combines the purchase of a modern, safe and appropriate vehicle for a new driver and then they combine it with a cheap insurance scheme. The package can then be paid for on a monthly basis. The offer is expected to be popular with young drivers who find insuring a first car very difficult.

Ian Pearson MP commented “I certainly endorse the principle of looking at innovative ways to stimulate the automotive industry and I wish Young Marmalade every success in developing its product and in pursuing its stated objectives for both stimulating new cars sales and facilitating safer driving.”

When I first saw this site I was skeptical - couldn't see the catch and bearing in mind these are car dealers, I thought there must be one. Then I saw that they won a business award last year, received the congratulation of the House of Commons and now the endorsement of a Minister, they cannot be that bad. Sure enough, what they are saying about young drivers and a different attitude in newer cars does make sense.
