UK Travel Insurance Still Important

Sainsbury's are serving to remind customers that travel insurance for UK based trips can be just as important as insurance for those travelling overseas.  This summer, many more holidaymakers are expected to stay on British soil and many may neglect insurance as an unnecessary expense.

However, Sainsbury's are reminding people that insurance covers lost possessions, travel documents and travel cancellations, even if the medicaol cover is not needed.

Sam Marrs, Sainsbury's Travel Insurance Manager said: "With a significant number of us still intending to get away this summer, holidaymakers are taking a range of measures to reduce their holiday spending, holidaying in the UK instead of abroad being the main one,”

"These holidaymakers must still remember to ensure they have good quality travel insurance though because although they'll have access to the NHS, they could potentially still need cover for lost or stolen possessions, delays and cancellations."
