Halifax not Paying Flood Claim for Ex Pilot

Halifax are not paying the flood claim of an ex pilot on Teeside following recent extreme weather and flsh floods, the Teeside Mercury reports.

People were evacuated from property as heavy and persistant rain fell during July.

Mr Gibson of Mickleton said that following windy conditions rain started pouring through the roof causing thousands of pounds worth of damages to his home.  Water poured through holes in the ceiling and light fittings.

Despite never having made a claim on his home insurance previously, the Halifax are not paying the claim because Mr Gibson reports that they have told him the weather was not severe enough.

A spokesperson for Halifax said its customer service team would look into Mr Gibson’s complaint.
