Drivers Should Check Cover Before Heading to Europe
Drivers should check cover before heading to Europe, warns the AA - It is vital for UK drivers to ensure their car insurance comprehensively covers them before taking their motor into Europe.
The AA has warned the British public although people may have third party cover when driving into Europe this may not cover the individual suitably.
Therefore it is vital for UK drivers to ensure their car insurance comprehensively covers them before taking their motor into Europe. Public relations manager for the AA states “If you do have an accident when you travel abroad [and you have comprehensive cover, you'll find that … you've got the expense of getting your car removed and so on, which wouldn't be covered by your insurance if you haven't extended your comprehensive cover to drive in Europe."
He further went onto state how by taking car insurance with certain insurers motorists could be provided with 90 days free comprehensive cover, but also warned that this would not be the case with all insurers.
