Superquote Terms and Glossary - Licence

In the UK as in most countires, the right to drive requires a licence.  Drivers who are learning may apply for a provisional licence (follow this link for learner driver car insurance).

All cars, motorbikes, vans and other vehicles are categorised and the licence you are issued with explains which categories you are permitted to drive.  For a list, follow this link to the DirectGov site.

Typically new car drivers face higher premiums on their insurance bills becuase of their lack of driving experience.  If you are looking for first time driver insurance, or have taken the pass plus course and are looking for car insurance with pass plus discounts, follow these links.

some motoring convictions can cause your licence to be endorsed.  More serious convictions can lead to bans.  If you are a driver who has been disqualified as a result of driving, click on the link for drink drive car insurance.
